The last bell is soon going to ring. The [[class|Class List A]] waits impatiently for the final presentation to end, and with six minutes remaining, for their weekend to begin.[[Beimuts, Christian|Christian Page 1]]

[[Zeng, Lily|Lily Page 1]]Will someone PLEASE stop Sheldon from delivering this godawful speech? He's speaking too fast, using run-on sentences, and [[his breathing is absolutely off.|Sheldon Page 1]]
Honestly, it has to be the single most worthless excuse for a creative writing response I've ever had the displeasure of sitting thr— no, [[I can do better|Felicia Page 2]] than that... Enduring!
Yes, [[that sounds much better.|Olek Page 1]] I'd give it a 62 at best.
[[Aiah|Aiah Page 1]] took my phone before I snuck out. She was sending shit to people usin my Snapchat.
She sent some to [[Bekzod|Bekzod Page 2]] too. That's honestly too cruel. I mean, the dude's like in LOVE with me or something, you don't gotta be sending him misleading shit.
Rude.
Wow, [[Sheldon's speech|Sheldon Page 2]] is actually, honestly, sorta-maybe pretty good, almost. His point about how characters are seen from different angles is pretty spot on. I'd easily give it an 85.
[[He looks nervous though.|Jason Page B1]] He shouldn't be — [[no one's even paying attention.|Christian Page 1]]When [["O Canada"|Dylan Page 1]] started playing on the PA, me and Declan stormed into [[the math class.|Declan Page A]] We were shouting at each other from across the room through our cell phones, walking in circles around all the students.
It was freaking hilarious, but it's a shame [[Jason showed up late.|Jason Page 2]] He was supposed to film it for us.I don't know how I feel about Declan asking me to prom. We hardly talk, and it's like he doesn't notice me. Like, why are you smiling at [[Michael?|Michael Page 1]] You should be paying attention to your [[best friend|Sheldon Page 2]] — HE'S the one giving the speech.
Too bad he had to go last — [[the class is basically empty.|Class List B]]Rules are rules. When you hear "O Canada," you stand and wait till it's over. I just so happened to be at the top of the stairs when the song came on. I don't remember [[what happened after that.|Jason Page 2]][[Declan's|Declan Page 1]] looking at me.
He raised his eyebrows. Why the fuck did he do that? What's that supposed to mean?
It's been like eight seconds, why is he — oh, [[he looked away.|Declan Page 2]]After Bekzod left, we decided to sneak out too. That's when I saw Jason in the hall [[again.|Jason Page A]] He was watching me but I just ignored him. I don't want nothing to do with him after that weird shit [[this morning.|Jason Page 2]] We just kept walking.[[Mina|Mina Page 1]] doesn't know I took her phone and sent a bunch of shit to Bekzod. Just to mess with the fuckin' loser. He's [[SO in love with her!|Violet Page 1]]He doesn't treat me bad, not like Jason did.
This feeling inside me. This crazy, wonderful feeling. This is real. To move and do everything with a new purpose. I've waited for so long to fall in love. My heart — [[you can't imagine how it feels.|Olek Page 1]]Okay, here goes.
Breathe.
Just breathe.
Everyone else has gone already, [[no one even cares|Morgan Page 1]] at this point.
Oh God, this is terrible. Who do I look at? The hell do I have to look at the audience for anyway, what good is that?
I guess I'll just look at [[Bekzod|Bekzod Page 1]]. Fuck, he's not even here! All right, I'll look at Declan then, I'm sure that'll be fine.
Okay, [[here goes|Sheldon Page 2]].I left early so I could get [[the GO Train|Bekzod Page 2]] on time today. It always says it'll be at Union at 3:05, but it's always way earlier.
It's not like it matters — I did [[my presentation|Gazi Page 1]] already, so why can't I leave? I'm the only one who lives two and a half hours away. I should get some sympathy for THAT, at least.
It'd be nice to get home before five today.[[Felicia's|Felicia Page 1]] looking at me.
I gotta let her know we're cool now. I'll raise my eyebrows once.
She looks confused. No, wait. She's pissed.
Just look away — pretend nothing happened.Aaaaaaah, aaaaaaaaaaah, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
(Do, da-do, da, da do-do, do! Boom, bah-doom, bah-boom.)

(Hn-hnnh, hnh! Buh-bum, bah, bum. Buh, buh-buh, bah, bum.)
(hm-hmm, hm! Buh-bum, bah, bum. Buh, buh-buh, bah, bum.)
(Hn-hnnh, hnh! Buh-bum, bah, bum. Buh, buh-buh, bah, bum.)
Let's dance!
(Do, da-do, da, da do-do.)
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues!
(Boom, boom, boom—)
Let's sway (Do, da-do, da, da do-do) under the moonlight, (do, da-do, da, da do-do) the serious moonlight!

Let's dance!
(Breh-do-da-doo-da-dih-didoo...)
Let's dance, let's dance, let's dance, let's dance, let's dance...
(Do, da-do, da, da do-do...)Omigosh, [[Felicia and Declan|Declan Page 3]] keep LOOKING at each other! I think they're trying to communicate. Aww, they're using eyebrows now! I bet they're finally getting back together! This is so exciting!
But what [[should I tell Ari?|Ari Page A]]The Prevalence of Character Dualism in Othello
In the end of Act I of Othello, after Othello and Desdemona’s marriage is publicized, it is decided that she will follow Othello on his journey to Cyprus. As the scene is winding down and everyone exits the stage, Iago and Roderigo remain to discuss the course of action the latter will take in order to win Desdemona’s heart. Roderigo tells Iago he cannot help but feel hopelessly in love, saying “it is my shame to be so fond, but it is not in my virtue to amend it," for which Iago rebukes him, countering his statement with the following speech:
(Oh shit, I'm going way too fast aren't I. This is too much. I can feel my heart beating in my face! Just focus on the speech. [[Declan's not even paying attention.|Declan Page 1]] You motherfucker. Whatever! Focus on the speech.)
In this passage, Iago remains friendly but stern as he condescendingly reminds Roderigo that he is still very much in charge of his body and emotions, and should have willpower and behave respectably. In other words, Iago tells Roderigo to keep calm and to refrain from committing himself to anything stupid or disgraceful.
(Why the fuck [[is Michael laughing?|Michael Page 1]] Fucking focus.)
Each plant Iago mentions in this speech has a dual meaning. For example, when Iago says, “if we will plant nettles," he is suggesting that Roderigo continues to irritate him because “to nettle” is to annoy. Consequently, to “sow lettuce” means to be productive. Simply put, Iago has just told his “friend” to stop complaining and do something useful. Roderigo does not likely understand the duality of Iago’s message, and he certainly does not understand that Iago’s purpose in spurring him on is to use him for as long as he is clueless and wealthy — not because they are friends.
(Hey, [[Jason just came back.|Jason Page B1]] Wait, when did HE leave? Aw shit, I don't even think I'm paying attention to what I'm saying. It's like I'm forgetting whole paragraphs.)
While the duality of character is most prominent in Iago’s personality and speech, the play Othello is wracked with duality in many forms. Othello is a championed general in the Venetian army but also a conniving “thief,” according to Brabantio; Desdemona is an innocent, loving, faithful wife but also a “whore,” according to Othello; and of course, Roderigo is a wealthy young nobleman but also a twig, according to Iago. Thus, it is important to remember that, in Othello, [[there are many perspectives from which to view each character,|Class List B]] and that many of these perspectives were invented by Iago.
(Okay, everyone's clapping. I guess it wasn't too bad.)I keep getting [[snaps|Mina Page 1]] from Mina. She keeps zooming in on people's faces and laughing.
She probably thinks I still like her, but I actually don't. She's so full of herself.
I only really care about [[Violet|Violet Page 1]] now.Okay, just don't look back at her.
But I wonder if she cares that I'm going to prom with [[Marina|Marina Page 1]]. I mean, I don't know WHY she would, but who knows. We've been [[broken up|Lily Page 1]] for like two years now, and we're kinda okay friends now, so she should be happy for me. Right? I mean, why wouldn't she be? She's moved on, too.
Stop looking back!
Wait, why [[is Michael laughing?|Michael Page 1]] Nothing's funny. Oh, it's about this morning, isn't it.I explained to the security guard that we only did it because the teacher said that we couldn't.
We lost marks on a test because a question asked what the probablity was of talking on the phone during the national anthem. Apparently, the bullshit answer was zero — he said there was no chance.
Well, [[we showed him.|Michael Page 2]]The security guard was supposed to take us to the office, but when we told him the story he just laughed and let us go.
He said he had [[a more important call|Dylan Page 2]] to deal with.In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have asked her. I mean, we're friends, but we're not the kind that would go together. We aren't that close. But we're definitely just friends and nothing more.
It's just — I feel guilty about the whole thing. I basically robbed her of going to prom with [[a real date.|Marina Page 2]]
I feel like I should call it off but that'd probably just make things worse. It's probably too late anyway.Sometimes it really just sucks being the tech-guy. You get asked to do everything; but on the bright side, I get out of class a lot. They can't blame ME if my work isn't done. It's a [[flaw in the system.|Ari Page 2]]I couldn't finish the job because Gazi showed up. Everything was going perfectly too.
[[We both just stared.|Declan Page 1]] I not sure how long he was there, but I couldn't do anything about it because "O Canada" was ending.
I rushed past him to the office so I could get a late slip. This, at least, was part of the plan. By appearing to be late, I could make it seem like I had only just got here. No one would know that I've been here since early this morning, or that I disabled [[the security cameras.|Ari Page 1]]This is perfect!
Everything is going according to plan. [[The security cameras|Ari Page 2]] are down, everyone has to stand still for [["O Canada,"|Michael Page 1]] and Declan and Michael have the security guard distracted.
Nothing will get in my way now.[[Sheldon's still giving his speech.|Sheldon Page 2]] I'll just have to try and get back to my seat without causing any [[disruptions.|Jason Page 1]] The fewer people that see me, the less attention I bring to myself.
I've done enough for today — it's time to lay low and blend in.None of this would've even happened if it wasn't for Declan — if he hadn't stolen [[Marina|Marina Page 2]] from me.
She was supposed to go to prom with ME!
I. Had. A. Plan. Everything was perfect.
I wanted to save you for last but it looks like you're getting [[pushed|Dylan Page 2]] to the top of my list.Violet, I know I've made a mistake. I've said I'm sorry who-knows how many times now. We can't keep doing this forever.
This pain inside me. This enormous, massive pain. You can't imagine how it feels. You don't know what it's doing to me. You were my last fucking chance at happiness. Never in my seventeen years of life have I felt something like this, and it's for you.
All of this, is for you.
[[Violet.|Violet Page 1]]After Bekzod's presentation, [[he left early,|Bekzod Page 1]] just like he does every Friday.
Seeing as it's the end of the year, this would probably be the last chance I'll ever get, so I followed him down the hall past the gym where there are no classrooms around (and in turn, no witnesses). Then, of all the goddamn shitty things that could've happened — and believe me, I've been counting, Gazi had to show up again! But this time, [[he had Mina|Mina Page 1]] with him so there was nothing I could do.
I've tried to be good, but he's REALLY pushing me here! I'll put him on the list too. It can't be helped.
I'll just have to hope another opportunity presents itself next week. Until then, I'll have to get [[back to class.|Jason Page B1]]It really feels like a bad idea to let a student fix the security system.
It's not the first time I had to do something like this, though. There was that time we lost all our Adobe software and couldn't get anything done in time for Art Night. They had to let me hack into the system to get the licensed versions back. If not for me, they would've had to buy the updated version, God forbid this school buy something from THIS century. Anything to save money.
And [[time,|Bekzod Page 1]] I guess.Felicia really likes me. She keeps following me around like an annoying puppy. It's not all bad though: she keeps me company while I work.
To be honest, I'm not sure what she sees in me at all. I pay even less attention to her than [[Declan|Marina Page 1]] did. And I certainly don't have a crazy [[obsession|Jason Page C]] with her like that other dude.Christian is such an over-analytical pig. I can't believe he actually thought I'd go out with him — the judgemental asshole.
I'm lucky to have [[Ari|Ari Page A]] now.
I explained to the security guard that I didn't see [[who did it.|Declan Page A]] I mean, I'm not sure ANYONE did it.
Maybe [[I spaced out.|Sheldon Page 2]]
A broken leg and I STILL can't see anything? Pretty shitty way to start off a Friday.Jason's nice and all, but I just don't see him that way. He's got to get over this, it's not healthy. The way he looks at people is just so weird, too. If I went to prom with him I'd have to deal with that all night. No thanks.
